Life with a fully electric Jaguar I-Pace

Jaguar I-Pace, I have had mine for around 5 months now and I love it!

It is such a shame Jaguar did not advertise this model a lot better when it came out in 2018 as it would mean a lot less Tesla's on the roads. It is also a shame Jaguar have not updated the model as technology has advanced.

The range with normal driving is around 200 miles and compared to newer vehicles the charge rate is slow.

All this said it is the best car I have owned (well except my beloved Defender 90 300 tdi) and I have had a lot of cars in my 40 years in the motor trade.

The drive and comfort is miles ahead of the other makes of EV's (electric vehicle) I have driven, and for a family car it looks great.

Like most electric vehicle the heating system work very quickly and will clear a frozen windscreen in around 4 mins and have you warm and cosy in around 5 mins.
Yes it is the fastest car I have owned (0 - 60 in just over 4 seconds and top speed of 124 mph), however my driving licence is too important to me to use the speed but what I find most useful is the instant smooth throttle response when pulling out of a junction.

Like all JLR products it does do strange things sometimes with warning messages which come on once and never again.

The routine maintenance cost should be low,£199.00 every two years for a service, and to be honest it will only need a service every two years with a check over in between just to be safe as I do like to know I have brake pads left and the suspension bushes are still ok!

Lets hope JLR deliver vehicles of this quality with the next generation of EV's that are starting to come out.
