We have openings for:


Apprentice business assistant.

We are looking for someone that has an interest in the motor trade and looking for a long term career in the administrative side of the trade.

The duties will include:
Taking phone calls from customers.

Talking to customers face to face.

Taking accurate details from customers and recording them.

Producing clear well worded invoices and explaining what work has been completed to customer's vehicles.

Taking all forms of payment.

Texting, emailing and calling customers to arrange work due on their vehicles.

Placing online and telephone orders for parts.

Putting parts orders away when they arrive.

Getting parts out of stock for customers and the workshop.

Stock taking.

Arranging and monitoring parts returns.

Using Microsoft excel to produce stock reports.

Enter supplier invoices into Xero.

Assisting with credit control and supplier payments.

Manage our fleet of company vehicles,  ensuring they are maintained when due.


You will need

A basic interest in the Motor Trade.

Good people skills.

Willing to do what is needed, when needed.

To be trustworthy.

Have a good sense of humour.

Have a good work ethic and want to learn new skills.

Be computer literate.

Have good English language skills both verbal and written.

Good GCSE grades in English, Maths and ICT would be an advantage.

Some manual handing will be involved in the role.


What will we do for you.

We will:

Train you in both the service and parts areas of the Motor Trade.

Enrol you in a business administrator apprenticeship program.

Train you in basic accounting software use.

Give you a good basic understanding of how a vehicle works so you can talk to customers in a knowledgeable way.







The package

Salary is dependant on age and experience.

22 days paid holiday.

Workshop Technician

Are you fed up with the pressure of working for a main dealer with the expectation that you can complete repairs in the "book time" even when the car is 5 years old and things are just rusty or snap?
Hoping you get allocated the "Bonus making jobs" this month as last month you got all the "Rubbish" jobs and had little bonus?
Or are you working for a Independent  garage but always struggling, as you do not have the right tools to do the work or have access to the workshop data /  main dealer diagnostic tools?
Maybe you have been promised training that just does not happen!

A little about us.


We are a family owned business that has been in the Motor Trade for the past 40 years.

We have a large well equipped workshop with main dealer level tools and diagnostics.

Our technicians on average over the last 12 months have attended 4 training courses each.

We are also focusing on Electric Vehicle training, with our aim being that all of our Technicians are level 4 EV trained by 2025.

We try not to work overtime or weekends as we all need time off.


Benefits included.

Annual Salary of £30,000

Company profit share based on workshop labour sales.

22 Days paid holiday.

Early finish on a Friday.

(Normal hours 08:30 - 17:30, Friday close at 17:00)

What about you


  • You will need to be fully skilled, with motor trade experience and/or level 3 qualifications (or equivalent).
  • Have your own tools.
  • Work in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Take pride in your work.
  • Have the ability to work out problems.
  • Be computer literate, as you will need to use both the JLR workshop data and diagnostic software.
  • A full clean driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.

Apprentice Mechanic.

The duties will include:

Assisting Servicing and Repairs to vehicles.

Producing clear well worded jobcards and explaining what work has been completed to customer's vehicles.

Cleaning the workshop.
Cleaning cars.


Training

You will be required to attend college.
Learn in the work place.
Complete some online learning in your own time.


You will need

A basic interest in the Motor Trade.
