Discovery Timing / Cambelt Replacement
The 3lt to 2021 year is the only Discovery 5 that has a cambelt (in fact two)
These are due to be replaced at 7 years or 112k miles depending which comes first.
Our cambelt replacement includes both belts and the idlers an tensioners for both as standard.
However we hearing of issues with the drivers side camshaft pulley failing on some 3lt Diesels engines however we have not had this occur to any of our customers so far.
Some customers are having the pulley changed when the cambelt is replaced which adds around an extra £200 - 255 to the cost.
